RMT - SWT Retail Union News

Pay Discussions 2006 Members of the RMT Negotiation team met with Representatives of South West Trains on Thursday 14th September 2006. The RMT had previously submitted an application for improved rates of pay and conditions of service and this meeting was arranged for the company to respond to our claim. The company offered 3.1% which is without strings and for a twelve month period. RMT have rejected this offer as it does not address the central issue of our claim relating to a flat rate increase and it was also rejected because of the level of the increase was low and below that which other Train companies in the area have agreed. A further meeting is to be arranged and we will keep members advised.
