PAY TALKS 2006

The negotiating team met with the company on the 26th October 2006 to discuss further the recent offer made by the company of 3.1% in which was refused by the RMT. The company made a revised offer at this meeting of 3.4% on the basic pay and allowances also a payment of £500 for lower paid staff on their basic if the 3.4% does not reach £500 on their basic pay. The RMT and the other 2 trade unions appreciated the offer made but stated that it did not meet the RMT's target of a resonable pay offer. The negotiating team will be discussing this offer with the Assistant General Secretary Pat Sikorski and the Executive Committee to discuss this offer on the 28th November 2006. We would welcome your feed back on this recent pay offer. If you wish to leave feed back please e-mail us by clicking on the RMT logo on the right hand side of this page and then click on the e-mail link.
