REVISED GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE SWT

REVISED GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE – SOUTH WEST TRAINS Dear Colleague, I am writing to advise you that your union has signed off a Revised Grievance Procedure with South West Trains management. The revised procedures allow for members to be “represented” rather than simply be “accompanied” at Step 1 and Step 2. The procedures will also be amended to state that, if it is not possible to meet the 14-day timescale in hearing a grievance, then the employee should be informed at the earliest possible date in writing giving them the reasons and the anticipated date for discussing the grievance. All delays are to be kept to a minimum. As these points were accepted by your union’s negotiators, the General Grades Committee formally agreed to sign the proposals off. I would be grateful if you could bring this to the attention of your members, particularly those who work for South West Trains. Yours sincerely Bob Crow General Secretary
