Following the opening meeting on the 31st August at Basingstoke,where the General Secretary Bob Crow opened up the new Regional Council,and in attendance were elected deligates from Branches within this area,and it was the responsibility of the deligates to vote for the candidate for President who when elected will take over from the General Secretary to control the meeting.
Bob Crow carried out and checked the votes from the deligates and the sucessful candidate that was elected as President for this new Council was Brother Andy Lister.
It was agreed at the meeting that an AGM will take place to set up officers etc,and this meeting will take place on the 14th December 2007,where it will be deceided where the Council will meet every 3 monthes in the future.
