TICKET OFFICE POSTS UNDER THREAT

To advise that the Company Council Reps along with the Regional Organiser Peter Skelly will be meeting with the Company on Tuesday 24th June 2008. The purpose of this meeting is to continue dialogue with the Company on their plans to cut some 120 Clerical posts within South West Trains Ticket Offices,this Union will not be entering into any discussions on the Consultation of the Peoples process. We are clear on our position on this issue,and that is we want the Company to renade on this proposal,and ensure our posts that we have fought for many years remain. We will of course keep you posted on this issue,and do try and attend your local Branch Meeting who will be able to update you on this.
