TICKET OFFICE PROPOSED CLOSURES

To advise you all that our Regional Organiser is in the process of arranging a Meeting with the Company to have further discussions on this issue.
The purpose of this meeting is to attempt to discuss away forward on the attempt on reducing posts within Ticket Offices within Multi Windows, because as you may be aware we have advised the Company that the RMT are in dispute with SWT over this issue, but have not yet served notice to them in relation to Ballotting our members within the Revenue Protection and Ticket office Grades on this issue.
More information on this issue and the outcome of this meeting will be advertised on this site.

Some Revenue protection members must be informed that this issue affects them to, we are a Union that means sticking together as one. Today its the ticket office jobs on the line, tomorrow it might be the RP? No one really wants a dispute and hopefully there may be a way forward, but if it comes down to it we need to unite.

I agree Mark, and this i will address with the Regional Organiser. It is important that yes it is Ticket Office Jobs today who's job is it tommorow.

A dispute is a last resort. The RMT will continue to talk to the Company to try and resolve.

But really all RMT SWT staff must be prepared to defend any other grade under attack no matter what council they are in! A Union should mean all as one!
