2008 PAY UPDATE

Below is a letter from the General Secretary to the Company accepting the October 2008 pay offer: Mr Andrew Welsby – Human Resources Director South West Trains Friars Bridge Court 41-45 Blackfriars Road London SE1 8NZ Our Ref: BR2/0001/SWT 17th February 2009 Dear Andrew Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2008 – South West Trains I have been instructed by my General Grades Committee to inform you of RMT’s acceptance of the 4.8% version of the pay deal. Please arrange to have this increase and any backpay implemented at the earliest pay packet. However, I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep concerns and disappointment at the company’s attitude towards their lower paid grades.
