As a Revenue Protection LDC Rep my members I represent do not wish to give anything up for the reduction in the working week. The company has belligerently brought in anti social working late at nigt and early mornings and reduced the number of Freedays we have by 2 in our 8 week roster. The company also tried to reduce our Weekend Freedays, but this was successfully resisted. If we do win a reduction we do not want this in minutes off the day, any reduction should be merged into Freedays at weekends, therefore giving quality time off and actually benefitting members-otherwise a reduction would be a waste of time if not utilised to our benefit.

Come on Revenue Protection staff please put your views here as well!

I am also a Revenue Protection LDC rep. Those that I represent have not really made their feelings public regarding the reduction in the working week. I do know that we as a group have nothing more to give away. Management has come to the conclusion that the rostered times they have requested are completely wrong. How can we trust a structure that puts us as the most important resource to fund the franchise then splits the department. We will be told we will have to fund a reduction. I think we as a department have given Management enough. The reduction should come hand in hand with a large pay rise.

Every thing will be taken into account members views. And this would have to be a benefit also, because the lower grades at lower pay will not give up any of our conditions etc to fund this.

None of us should give up anything for a reduction in the working week.Revenue Protection RPI's & RPA's are not highly paid as they were Supervisory B & C grades before restructuring. Already we have worse hours and less quality time off, because of this Company strategy.Revenue Protection has no overtime or any earning potential, so we would not even benefit from a higher hourly rate. It would be expected that Revenue Protection pay the price for other retail grades, this is not acceptable and would cause resentment. We are sick and tired of our department being eroded away.

I agree with Mark Still, any reduction in the working week should add to quality time off.

In regards to the pay of revenue protection grades and that the Supervisory grade was higher, but revenue protection grades voted for the restructuring package.

Revenue Protection members should not have to sacrifice anything for any other grade to get a reduction in the working week, just because Revenue Protection have been restructured and other grades not.The 35 hour a week needs to be won with all grades united together in battle.
